TiVo Gets an Emmy!
The DVR service is recognized for "outstanding achievement."

Washington, D.C. (July 28, 2006) -- TiVo now has something else in common with actress Susan Lucci.
Both are often the center of soap operas, and now, like All My Children's Lucci, TiVo has an Emmy for its trouble.
The Digital Video Recording service yesterday was awarded a TV Emmy by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. TIVo was recognized for "outstanding achievement in enhanced television programming."
The company beat out fellow nominees America Online, CNN and DIRECTV in the Academy's new interactive television category.
The award will be presented next month during a ceremony in Los Angeles.
