Can Paula Abdul Face Reality?

Paula Abdul was in high-def this morning (July 18) on NBC's Today Show. And get this: She was there to promote her new "reality" series, Hey Paula, which is airing (not in HD) on Bravo.

Hard to understand Paula doing a "reality" series. If there's anyone more out of touch with reality than Ms. Abdul, I don't know who it is. Not even the occasionally incoherent Ms. Lohan.

Today in HD, Paula seemed even more detached from the real world, often answering Matt Lauer's questions with a far-away look. and tiny whisper. Her "performance" may fuel more rumors about an imminent departure from American Idol.

By the way, Paula is scheduled to repeat her high-def mumblings tonight (July 18) on Late Night With David Letterman.
