Amazon.com is now selling a Panasonic 50-inch Plasma HDTV for $1,399 -- 30 percent off the suggested list price of $1,999. The flat-panel set, model TH-50PX77U, has a native picture resolution of 1,366 x 768, two HDMI inputs, up to 10,000 to 1 contrast ration and a high-def tuner inside so you can watch your local HD channels with an antenna.

The set also features anti-glare coating and a built-in GalleryPlayer-capable SD memory slot.
