The domination by small-screen sets on Amazon's best-selling
list reflects the change that has occurred this year in the
marketplace. Concerned about the poor economy and possible job
loss, consumers this year have opted to buy smaller-screen sets,
such as 32-inch and 37-inch TVs.
In previous years, Americans gravitated toward the new
large-screen LCD and Plasma sets, such as 50-inch, 58-inch and
65-inch sets. While most of those large-screen sets are less
expensive than in 2008, they are still considered too costly in
many households now.
