Amazon Slashes Star Wars Price By
43 Percent!

Washington, D.C. (September 12,
2011) -- George Lucas's Star
Wars: The Complete Saga will be released on Blu-ray in four
days and Amazon.com has slashed the price by 43 percent.
Amazon is now taking pre-orders on the Blu-ray release of
Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Episodes I-VI) for $79.99.
The collection was previously priced at $89.99 at Amazon, which
was a 36 percent discount.
The nine disc set, which will carry a suggested list price of
$139.99, will be released on September 16, 2011. The collection,
which includes all six Star Wars movies and three discs of
supplemental material, will include a host of deleted and
extended scenes from the original trilogy of films, previously
unavailable to Star Wars fans.
Over the years, the Star
Wars saga has featured such actors as Oscar winners Natalie
Portman and Harrison Ford, Hayden Christensen, Carrie Fisher,
Mark Hamill, Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor and Samuel L. Jackson.
The Blu-ray edition will also include a 30-minute documentary
featuring a discussion of the films by Lucas, the late director
Irvin Kershner, screenplay scribe Lawrence Kasdan and music
composer John Williams.
The disc set will include 40 hours of special features in total.
