Q. I've been enjoying watching Under the Dome for free with my Amazon Prime membership. Will Amazon show season two as well? -- John, Salt Lake City, Utah.

John, as you know, Amazon has had an exclusive deal with CBS to air episodes of the summer drama, Under the Dome, four days after
they first air on the network. By all accounts, the arrangement has been a winner for both companies with many viewers catching up with Under the Dome via the Amazon Prime streaming service.

Consequently, CBS and Amazon announced yesterday that they will continue their partnership with season two, which will debut in the summer of 2014. All season two episodes will be available to Amazon Prime members four days after they first air on CBS.

By the way, an Amazon Prime membership costs $79 annually and it entitles you to free access to thousands of movies and TV shows as well as free 2-day shipping on thousands of products at

Variety reports that Under the Dome was the most-watched TV premiere on Amazon Prime and it's been viewed more than any other TV series this summer. CBS has also said the show is getting better ratings than any summer rookie series in 20 years. So it does look like this deal is paying off for both companies and it will likely lead to similar partnerships with other networks and streaming services.

Under the Dome, which is based on a Stephen King book, tells the tale of a small town that is suddenly and mysteriously enclosed in a dome.
