The Killing: Will There Be a Fourth Season?
By Allison Moore

Washington, D.C. (July 20, 2013) - Editor's Note: TV's Answer Woman, aka Allison Moore, takes your questions regarding TV stars and shows. If you have a question about TV entertainment, ask TV's Answer Woman by sending an e-mail to swann@tvpredictions.com

Q. I am still a big fan of The Killing on AMC but I wonder if they will bring it back for another season. Your thoughts? -- Cari, San Jose, California.

Cari, that's a great question. The Killing has just three episodes left in season three and TV observers are wondering if AMC will green light a fourth season, considering the ratings continue to be so-so.

As you might recall, AMC cancelled the murder drama after season two after some critics criticized it for being too slow and tough to follow. (They also weren't thrilled that the show's central plot line wasn't resolved in season one.)

But AMC got some partnership funding from Sony, the show's producer, and Netflix, and season three became a reality.

Now we're looking at the possibility of a season four and TVSeriesFinale.com (not encouraging a site named TV Series Finale is talking about your show, is it?) says a renewal is 50-50.

The show continues to have a cult following thanks largely to the extraordinary acting from its leads, Joel Kinnaman and Mireille Enos who play detectives Holder and Linden respectively. But season three continues to plod along, bringing more criticism from TV writers.

My guess is that The Killing will probably be killed off after season three. But you never know. I thought the Holder was the killer in season one.
