So says Phillip Swann, president of TVPredictions.com, in a new video.
Swanni says retail sources tell him that Apple TV sales have been "horribly low." Consequently, he predicts that Apple will pull the product off the market next year.
Apple TV, which was launched in March, can send media files stored on your PC to your High Definition TV, including music, pictures and 720p high-def video. The product costs $299.
Apple said last week that YouTube videos are now available via the device, but high-def videos have yet to be added.
But Swanni says in the video that retailers tell him that consumers have little interest in watching their PC-stored videos on their televisions. Or, at least, they have little interest in spending $299 to do so.
He said Apple has refused to release sales figures for Apple TV to date because it knows how poorly it's performing at retail.
