ABC's decision to air The Bachelor in high-def is another sign that reality shows are breaking the HD barrier. For several years, the networks were reluctant to produce reality fare in HD because it wanted to keep costs down. However, The Bachelor joins such reality shows as Survivor, Dancing With the Stars and America's Got Talent which have gone high-def in the last few years.
