Jericho, which focuses on a small U.S town after a nuclear attack, has won a cult following on the Net, although it was cancelled by CBS. (News reports, however, say Comcast could offer funding to keep the show running next season; the show also airs in repeats on Universal HD.
But Battlestar Galactica, a sci-fi series starring Edward James Olmos as the commander of a spaceship searching for Earth, has developed a consistently strong audience for several years.
Battlestar Galactica airs Friday nights on the Sci-Fi Channel.
