TVPredictions.com has analyzed the offers from stores that will sell electronics and compiled the 10 best Black Friday deals to date. Before we disclose our top 10, a little background on Black Friday:
Retailers traditionally offer deep discounts on the day after Thanksgiving (Nov. 29 this year), better known as Black Friday, the unofficial start of the holiday shopping season. In the weeks leading up to the big day, web sites such as Bfads.net and BlackFriday.info receive previews of Black Friday ads that the retailers are planning to run. And, in some cases, the retailers themselves disclose the deals.
So after reviewing the Black Friday disclosures to date, here are the 10 best deals. (Prices according to Bfads.net.)
10. Walmart: Vizio 60-inch, 120Hz HDTV: $688
The flat-screen set normally goes for $899 or $999 online or at retail.
9. Walmart: Apple iPad Mini 16GB (with $100 gift card) -- $299
The price is roughly the same as you would find before Black Friday, but the $100 gift card arguably makes this a 33 percent discount. (Target is offering a similar deal at the same price, but the gift card is only $75.)
8. Meijer's: iPad Air -- $379 (with $100 off next Meijer shopping trip)
The new Apple tablet will be priced at roughly $120 less than the normal price and you get $100 off your next shopping trip at Meijer's. Awesome package.
7. H.H. Gregg: Sony 55-Inch 4K LED TV: $2,999
The price is $500 off the suggested list price from Sony, which recently slashed it from $4,499. So basically H.H. Gregg will sell the 4K set for $1,500 less than what it costs just a few months ago. If you were thinking of taking a chance on a 4K TV, this is your opportunity. (FYI, if you don't want to wait until Black Friday, Amazon is now selling the set for $2,998.)
6. H.H. Gregg: Seiki 55-inch LED HDTV: $399
Seiki is not a name brand, but how often do you get a chance to buy a 55-inch HDTV for just $399? The set normally goes for $300 more online and at retail.
5. Sam's Club: LG Blu-ray Player: $38
The high-def disc player is not a Smart TV device, but at $38, this is a great pick up for Blu-ray fans.
4. Walmart: Funai 32-inch 720p LED HDTV: $98
Funai is not a name brand, but most display experts say the picture quality on a 32-inch model varies little from brand to brand. So at $98, this is a great deal for anyone looking for a set for the back bedroom or kids' room.
3. Best Buy: LG 55-inch, 120Hz LED TV -- $499 (normally $1,000)
The flat-screen TV sale is one of six 'doorbusters' that the retailer has announced thus far. A 55-inch TV for about half the price. Can't beat it. (H.H. Gregg is selling the same set for $599.)
2. Sam's Club: iPhone 5c w/2 yr. Contract: 96 cents.
That's not a misprint. 96 cents for a new iPhone. However, there will be limited supplies so you'll have to act fast.
1. Sam's Club & Walmart: Vizio 70-inch Smart LED TV: $998 (normally $1,600-$1,800)
A 70-inch Smart LED TV from Vizio for $600-$800 off. This is what Black Friday sales are supposed to be all about and you have two stores to choose from.
