However, in addition to the low Blu-ray download totals, the NPD
study said only 19 percent of game console owners have
downloaded entertainment.
In contrast, 75 percent of iPhone and iPod Touch users have
downloaded music or videos.
Home Media writes that the NPD study also found that only
one-third of Blu-ray owners who have actually connected their
players to the Internet have downloaded a movie rental.

Tech journalists and out-of-touch Wall Street types love to hype
digital downloads. But most Americans still prefer the hard disc
-- whether it's a DVD or Blu-ray high-def disc. Hooking up your
Blu-ray player or video game console to the Net (usually via a
Broadband network) is still too complicated for most Americans.
