Blu-ray Players Dropping Under $100
TVPredictions.com

Washington, D.C. (October 12, 2009) -- It's not even Black Friday yet, but some CE retailers are dropping the price of Blu-ray players under $100.

That's according to an article by Home Media Magazine.

The publication reports that Ken Cranes, a Los Angeles-based retailer, has announced that it's cutting the price of some in-store, brand name Blu-ray players by up to 50 percent; some players are now priced at $97.

Blu-ray player prices have fallen sharply this year with up to a dozen models available for under $200. But analysts agree that the 2009 holiday season will see even further reductions in price and both CE retailers and electronics companies attempt to give the high-def disc format a major boost.

 Home Media writes that Paul's TV are now selling Net-enabled Panasonic Blu-ray players for $148. Wal-Mart is selling a Magnavox Blu-ray player for $98 and Fry's Electronics is selling a refurbished Samsung unit for $119.

Amazon is selling the Net-enabled LG370 Blu-ray player, which comes with streaming videos from Netflix, for $148. See link below:
