Washington, D.C. (July 5, 2011) -- New Blu-ray releases come out every Tuesday so let's look at this week's top releases on the high-def disc. Movies in bold are recommended by TVPredictions.com; you can order them by clicking on the link.

FYI -- Blu-ray releases can be rented at your local video store or through online services such as Netflix. You can also purchase the high-def discs at retail stores and online at sites such as Amazon.

Blu-ray discs normally cost a little more than their DVD counterparts. However, the extra cost comes with a greatly improved picture and sound.

Plus, some Blu-ray players will play HD videos over the Net from services such as Netflix and all Blu-ray players will play standard-def DVDs.
