The Hangover, Part III Leads Week's Blu-ray Releases

The Hangover, Part II, the third in the comedic trilogy starring Brad Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms, leads this week's top releases on Blu-ray high-def disc.

The movie, which made more than $112 million at the U.S. box office, features the trio of misfits facing a darker scenario when one of them is kidnapped by a gangster. Of course, the plot brings them back to the scene of their past misadventures -- Las Vegas -- where they must locate their pal and evade the mobsters.

This Is the End Leads Week's Blu-ray Releases

This Is the End, the oddball apocalypse comedy starring Seth Rogen and James Franco, leads this week's top releases on Blu-ray high-def discs.

The movie, which made more than $100 million at the U.S. box office, finds the lead characters trapped in a house in Los Angeles when the end of the world begins. It may sound like an implausible premise for a comedy, but the winning cast, which also includes Jonah Hill and Danny McBridge, manages to pull it off.

Iron Man 3 Leads Week's Blu-ray Releases

Iron Man 3, the third in the trilogy about the accidental superhero, leads this week's top releases on Blu-ray high-def disc.

The movie, which stars Robert Downey Jr. in the title role, as well as Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle, allows Tony Stark (Iron Man's alter ego) to show his detective skills as he hunts down who's responsible for destroying the world.

But Iron Man 3 was no mystery to audiences, generating more than $400 million at the box office.

World War Z Leads Week's Blu-ray Releases

World War Z, the Brad Pitt starrer that made more than $200 million in U.S. box office revenue, leads this week's top releases on Blu-ray high-def disc.

The film, which features Pitt as a former United Nations inspector who must leave his family to investigate an outbreak of zombies, also stars The Killing's
Mireille Enos as his wife.

The sci-fi movie, which stars Chris Pine as Captain Kirk and Zachary Quinto as Spock, features Kirk seeking vengeance on one of his own after he learns he has betrayed the organization and unleashed a force of terror on the world.

The Great Gatsby, Baz Luhrmann's remake based on the F.Scott Fitzgerald novel, leads this week's top releases on Blu-ray high-def disc.

The film, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan, follows writer Nick Carraway (Maguire) as he drifts into the wealthy, hedonistic world of a mysterious billionaire (DiCaprio) and his wife Daisy (Mulligan) during the roaring 20s.

Oblivion, the Tom Cruise sci-film, leads this week's top releases on Blu-ray high-def disc.

Cruise plays Jack Harper, a maverick in 2077 who patrols the planet 60 years after an Alien invasion. However, his routine is suddenly disturbed when a rocket from 60 years ago suddenly crashes on the Earth.

Selena Gomez Leads Week's Top Blu-ray Releases

Washington, D.C. (July 7, 2013) - Spring Breakers, a comedy/drama starring Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens as robbers, leads this week's top releases on Blu-ray high-def disc.

Spring Breakers, which also stars James Franco, tells the tale of four college girls who decide to rob a restaurant to help pay for their spring break activities. Their lives turn for the worse when a drug dealer (Franco) bails them out and plans to use them for no good. Despite the flimsy plotline, some critics praised the movie, saying it offered more substance than most teen-queen escapist fare.
