The companies made the announcement today, but there was no word on when Cablevision will actually add the high-def network.
The carriage agreement also allows for Cablevision to broadcast the standard-def version of the Hallmark Movie Channel.
Hallmark Movie Channel, which launched this month, offers a lineup of family-friendly films.
“We are very happy to announce this renewal of our affiliation agreement with Cablevision which, because of its service area in and around New York City, is a particularly important partner in our ability to showcase our industry-leading, family-friendly programming,” said Henry Schleiff, president and CEO of Crown Media Holdings, which owns the Hallmark networks.
