Cartoon Network Cancels Two Shows

By Swanni

Washington, D.C. (January 29, 2013) -- The Cartoon Network has cancelled two series -- Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice, writes Examiner.com.

The cancellations were revealed when the network unveiled its 2013-2014 lineup yesterday and the two shows were missing from the list.

The Examiner reports that
Giancarlo Volpe, the producer for the Green Lantern series, confirmed the cancellation on Twitter, tweeting: "This time we knew. They just didn't want us to announce it publicly until they did."

Green Lantern: The Animated Series has aired as part of the Cartoon Network's DC Comics' programming block for one year. Young Justice, based on the comic book series, premiered in 2011 and aired for two seasons.
