CNBC Cancels The Kudlow Report

By Allison Moore

Washington, D.C. (March 9, 2014) -- CNBC has cancelled the nightly financial news show, The Kudlow Report, after five years on the air, TheWrap.com reports.

The show, which featured economist Larry Kudlow, will end sometime this month. The Wrap.com writes that CNBC broke the news in a memo to staff on Friday.

In the memo, CNBC president Mark Hoffman said the cancellation was due to Kudlow's desire to "slow down" his work schedule. However, Kudlow is expected to stay on CNBC as a contributor.

Hoffman wrote that he was working on finding a replacement for The Kudlow Report in the 7 p.m. ET slot.

Over the years, as host of his self-titled show, Kudlow interviewed financial analysts, politicians and even a few technology pundits, including the publisher of TVPredictions.com.
