Report: MTV Cancels Teen Mom 2

By Allison Moore

Washington, D.C. (March 15, 2014) -- MTV is cancelling the reality TV series, Teen Mom 2, after the completion of season five, RadarOnline.com reports.

The site writes that a production source says MTV wants to cancel Teen Mom 2 while the show's ratings are still respectable (as opposed to the show's content, which is anything but respectable.) RadarOnline.com adds that more episodes will be added to season five to allow Teen Mom 2 to go with a bang.

Despite the Radar Online line, Examiner.com suggests that the on-screen and off-screen behavior of the teenage mothers portrayed in the show has become too much for MTV to bear. There have been reported of illegal drug use among other embarrassing activities.

The Examiner writes that the cast members of Teen Mom 2 have been notified that they need to look for new jobs when season five ends. It is unknown when the finale will air.

In other cancellation news, CBS on Friday renewed 18 different prime time series, but did not renew The Crazy Ones, Intelligence and The Mentalist. The network is not expected to make a decision on those lowly-rated shows until May.
