(May 22, 2012)
-- A&E has cancelled the reality series Dog the Bounty Hunter
after eight seasons, reports Entertainment Weekly.
The show, which features Duane "Dog" Chapman as a bounty hunter
in Hawaii and Colorado, just finished its eight season last
week.
TMZ reports that A&E couldn't come to terms with Chapman's team
for a new season, which triggered the cancellation.
In related news, the Syfy Channel has cancelled the series
Sanctuary after four seasons. The sci-fi series featured a
mysterious organization that helped powerful creatures resolve
various problems. However, the show's ratings continued to slide
during its run. _____________________________________________________________________________
