TBS Cancels The Pete Holmes Show

By Allison Moore

Washington, D.C. (May 27, 2014) -- TBS has cancelled the late night show, The Pete Holmes Show, after two seasons, writes The Hollywood Reporter.

The show, which airs at midnight ET, will conclude its run on June 19, the publication reports. The comedy show followed Conan, which airs at 11 p.m. ET every week night.

The Hollywood Reporter writes that The Pete Holmes Show averaged 500,000 viewers per episode in season one, but it's now losing about 350,000 viewers from its Conan O'Brien lead-in.

"We loved the show and gave it two chances," TBS said in a statement.
"We just couldn't draw the audience needed to justify a third round."

Holmes, a 34-year-old stand-up comedian, also hosts a podcast called, You Made It Weird With Pete Holmes.
