E! Entertainment Cancels Ryan Lochte Reality Show

By Allison Moore

Washington, D.C. (September 21, 2013) - E! Entertainment has cancelled the reality series, What Would Ryan Lochte Do?, after just one season, writes The Daily Mail.

The show, which featured the Olympic swimming champion, collected roughly 800,000 viewers in its first episode, but plunged to 300,000 by episode six, the series finale.

TV critics mocked the concept when it was first announced and things didn't get better when the show evolved around the 28-year-old Ryan's dating life (with the likes of the aging Carmen Electra) and his training for the next Olympics.

E! officials originally had high hopes for the reality series, though, due to his charm and looks which was thought would bring in a strong female audience.

But Lochte himself questioning the wisdom of doing the show, saying it was interfering with his training for the Olympics.

He won't have to worry about that now.
