TNT Cancels King & Maxwell
By Allison Moore

Washington, D.C. (September 21, 2013) - TNT has cancelled the drama, King & Maxwell, after just one season, Deadline.com reports.

The show, which featured
Jon Tenney and Rebecca Romijn as ex-Secret Service agents who open their own detective agency, averaged roughly 3.1 million viewers per episode, says TV Series Finale.

But the show's ratings trailed TNT hits, Rizzoli & Isles (5.7 million per episode) and Major Crimes (4.9 million).

And The Hollywood Reporter notes that King & Maxwell failed to hold the rating for Major Crimes, which aired an hour earlier on Monday nights.

King & Maxwell was based on a series of crime novels by David Baldacci.
