Offers Full-Episode Shows On iPad, iPhone
Washington, D.C. (March 18, 2013) -
CBS has launched a new app for Apple's iPad and iPhone that
provides full episode streaming of the network's shows 24 hours
to eight days after their initial broadcast.
Daytime and late night shows, such as The Late Show With David
Letterman, are available 24 hours after the original broadcast
while primetime shows can be watched on the mobile devices eight
days after the original airing.
The shows now available on the app include: NCIS, The Amazing
Race, The Good Wife, Criminal Minds, CSI, How I Met Your Mother,
Letterman and The Young and the Restless.
The show will include advertising. Home Media writes that CBS
CEO Les Moonves told an investor group earlier this month 40
percent of the network's programming is watched after recorded
on a DVR or an Internet-based service.
"By making our shows
available on all the leading mobile
devices out there, we are confident we
will bring a whole new set of viewers to
CBS," Moonves said, according to Home
The network said it will offer an app
for Android and Windows 8 devices this
