CBS Offers Full-Episode Shows On iPad, iPhone
By Swanni

Washington, D.C. (March 18, 2013) - CBS has launched a new app for Apple's iPad and iPhone that provides full episode streaming of the network's shows 24 hours to eight days after their initial broadcast.

Daytime and late night shows, such as The Late Show With David Letterman, are available 24 hours after the original broadcast while primetime shows can be watched on the mobile devices eight days after the original airing.

The shows now available on the app include: NCIS, The Amazing Race, The Good Wife, Criminal Minds, CSI, How I Met Your Mother, Letterman and The Young and the Restless.

The show will include advertising. Home Media writes that CBS CEO Les Moonves told an investor group earlier this month 40 percent of the network's programming is watched after recorded on a DVR or an Internet-based service.

"By making our shows available on all the leading mobile devices out there, we are confident we will bring a whole new set of viewers to CBS," Moonves said, according to Home Media.

The network said it will offer an app for Android and Windows 8 devices this year.
