The cable operator says the channel additions will give central Minnesota residents more than 100 HD channels. Charter adds that more HD channels will be added this fall.
The Brainerd Dispatch says the new channels will be added by June 20.
Charter has lagged behind satcasters DIRECTV and Dish Network in HD channels over the last few years. But the cable operator has been more aggressive in the last 12 months, adding dozens of new HD channels in several markets.
The new channels in Minnesota include Starz, the Encore channels, Fox Business, TV Land, History Channel International, the Tennis Channel, Game Show Network, G4, Hallmark Movie Channels and Fuse.
