For several years, Charter lagged behind its satellite rivals and cable colleagues in the number of HD channels it offered. But over the last 12 months or so, the cable operator has been making amends, expanding to 100 plus HD channels in several markets.
The Worcester Business Journal reports that Charter will start its HD expansion in Central Massachusetts on July 17. The new channels will include Hallmark, MSNBC, Spike, Encore, Turner Classic Movies and VH1.
The cable operator says more information will be delivered to subscribers prior to July 17. Until then, they can go to charter.com/futureTV for more information.
