In addition, Charter plans to add the high-def Sportsman in northern California, Washington, Minnesota and New England later this summer.

"Adding a significant amount of new HD content is an important part of our most recent step in the evolution of Charter TV."

Charter places a high priority on HD, and we look forward to continuing to offer the most entertaining and informative programming-in stunning HD-for today's American sportsman, as well as continuing to raise the bar with new, innovative and original programming."
Charter, which has lagged behind its rivals in HD channels for several years, recently has boosted its HD channel lineup in several markets, climbing over 100 in some areas.
