--
Charter Communications this month is adding 50 new
High-Definition channels in the northwestern section of Georgia,
including the community of Ringgold, reports The Rome
News-Tribune.
The channels will be added on July 11 and July 12, the newspaper
writes.
For several years, Charter has trailed its rivals in
the number of HD channels it offers, but it has been busily
adding new channels in several markets over the last year.
"We want our customers to have
the best television experience on all their screens,” said Aimee
Pfannenstiel, Charter’s vice president and general manager for
Ringgold told the newspaper. “Today’s television experience
extends far beyond the living room and onto a variety of
connected devices. We’re committed to providing the highest
quality video experience, more choice, greater reliability and
additional value.”
Some of the channels being added by Charter include: Showtime,
HBO, More and Action Max, Starz, Encore, Disney, Oxygen, as well
as several cooking, travel, sports, music and educational
channels, the Rome News-Tribune writes.
