Merry Xmas: 20 Hottest Shows In HDTV!

By Allison Moore
HD Diva

Washington, D.C. (December 24, 2007) -- High-Definition TVs are now in roughly 30 million U.S. homes and there are scores of high-def programming choices.

But which shows should you watch?

Every day here at TVPredictions.com, I scan the HD programming aisles and serve up 10 programs so good -- so hot! -- that you can't miss them.

But since it's Christmas Eve, I have decided to publish the 20 best HD shows for today and tomorrow. The list includes some exciting sports events, some cool flicks and a few surprises.

So sit back, enjoy the holiday and watch some high-def! (All times Eastern; smart remarks are the opinion of the author alone.)

Monday, December 24

1. Torchwood
Program descript: "An alien addicted to sex is let loose on Cardiff's nightlife." Sounds like a typical night in the Village to me.
HDNet, 7 p.m.

2
. Click
Adam Sandler stars as a busy Dad who obtains a remote control that can change his life. Or so he thinks.
Starz, 7:10 p.m.

3. Cheaper By the Dozen
Sounds like a documentary on the Florida Marlins, but it's actually a frothy comedy starring Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt as the parents of 12 little ones.
Fox, 8 p.m.

4
. Dazzling Holiday Lights
The high-def cameras examine some of America's best holiday displays. Just don't look too closely at the electric bill!
Discovery's HD Theater, 8 p.m.

5. NFL Football
The Denver Broncos plays the resurgent San Diego Chargers.
ESPN, 8 p.m.
