CNN: Democratic Convention All In HDTV

Washington, D.C. (August 22, 2008) -- CNN will broadcast next week's entire Democratic Party convention from Denver in High-Definition.

That's according to an article by Multichannel News.

The convention, which will feature Sen. Barack Obama's nominating speech on Thursday night from Denver's Invesco Field, will take place from Monday, August 25 to Thursday, August 28.

Multichannel News reports that CNN will anchor its coverage from sets on the delegation floor at the Pepsi Center in Denver, the site of the convention. But the network will also use 'sky booths' for interview locations.

CNN says it will introduce new HDTV cameras for the convention, which will be anchored by Wolf Blitzer, Campbell Brown and Anderson Cooper. Veteran cable personality Larry King will host a midnight wrap-up show each night.

The Republican convention takes place between September 1-4 from St. Paul.
