Comcast Adds 8 HD Channels In Connecticut

Washington, D.C. (February 2, 2013) - Comcast has added eight new High-Definition channels in the Groton, Connecticut area, which includes New London County, according to TheDay.com.

The new channels are:
G4 HD (Channel 1222); Travel HD (Channel 1285); E! HD (Channel 1340); Style HD (Channel 1341); TV One HD (Channel1360); Cartoon HD (Channel 1525); Tennis HD (Channel 1612), and CBS Sports HD (Channel 1721).

According to Comcast's web site, the cable operator now offers about 75 HD channels in the Groton area, which is about half as many as offered by satellite rivals DIRECTV and Dish.

TheDay.com says the eight new channels from Comcast will also be added in the following communities:
Naval Submarine Base, Ledyard, Voluntown and North Stonington, Chester, Deep River, Durham, Essex, Haddam, Killingworth, Old Saybrook, Stonington and Westbrook.
