Washington, D.C. (July 17, 2008) -- Comcast has added five new High-Definition channels in the Baltimore, Maryland area.

That's according to an article by The Baltimore Business Journal.

The new channels are:
ABC Family, the Disney Channel, the Science Channel, WUTB (My 24 in the Baltimore area) and the national WGN HD channel.

The publication writes that Comcast now offers more than 40 high-def channels in the Baltimore area. The cable operator added several HD channels in April including AMC and CNN.

The Business Journal reports that Comcast charges subscribers in the region $7.50 a month for a high-def receiver.
