Comcast: 35 HDTV Channels In 2007
The cable op says expanding
its high-def lineup is an important priority.

Washington, D.C. (September 14,

-- Comcast plans to expand its High-Definition TV lineup to
approximately 35 channels by next year's third quarter.
The cable operator now offers around 20 national and local HD
channels; the number varies by market.
Comcast made the disclosure in a TVPredictions.com interview
with
Steve Burke, the company's COO and president
"We’re planning to
offer 32-35 HD channels (including broadcast) by the third
quarter of 2007," he told Joseph Whip, a HD Observer for
TVPredictions.com.
Burke also said the cable op hopes to soon add high-def feeds
for Fox's regional sports channels.
