Comcast Adds ESPN 2 HD
Network is launched in time
for the 2006 World Cup.

Washington, D.C. (June 9, 2006)
-- Comcast today is adding ESPN 2 HD in selected markets. The
network will provide high-def coverage of the 2006 World Cup
soccer tournament.
As is its custom when launching new HD channels, Comcast did not
reveal which markets will get ESPN 2 HD. (Comcast had added the
channel to its lineup in Arlington, VA this morning.) Some
Comcast cable systems do not have enough bandwidth (room) for
additional high-def channels at this time.
TVPredictions.com first reported last February that Comcast
would add ESPN 2 HD in the late spring.

In addition to the World Cup, ESPN 2 HD airs Major League
Baseball games in high-def.
