Washington, D.C. (March 24, 2008) -- Comcast this week will add SportsNet New York HD in Northern New Jersey.

This will enable customers there to watch the New York Mets in high-def.

Multichannel News reports that Comcast will add SNY HD tomorrow in Union, Plainfield, Meadowlands, Jersey City and Northwest.

The regional sports channel, which also airs programs on the New York Jets, will be added on Thursday in Monmouth, Ocean, Central, Toms River and Long Beach Island.

“From the first pitch to the last out, Mets’ fans will be able to enjoy their home team’s games in the clarity of High-Definition television on SNY HD,” Comcast said in a statement released today.

SNY this season will air 120 Mets games in high-def.
