Comcast to Add 5 HD Channels In Philly
The list includes CNN and AMC.

Washington, D.C. (March 21, 2008) -- Comcast has announced that it will add five new High-Definition channels in the Philadelphia area on April 4th.

The channels are CNN HD, The Learning Channel HD, Animal Planet HD, The History Channel HD and American Movie Classics HD.

The cable operator has previously added the high-def simulcasts in other markets where HD expansion is underway with the exception of AMC HD.

The movie channel airs classic films and some original AMC productions in high-def such as Mad Men which has been available via Comcast's HD On Demand in most markets.
