Comcast HD VOD: What Are People Watching?

Washington, D.C. (August 11, 2008) -- Comcast has heavily promoted its HD VOD lineup, saying it offer more high-def 'choices' than DIRECTV or Dish.

But which HD VOD shows are Comcast subscribers actually watching?

Comcast, and its VOD ratings measurement partner, Rentrak, today gave TVPredictions.com a list of the Top 10 HD VOD shows for the week of August 4-10.

While the cable operator did not reveal the actual viewings for each program in the Top 10, the list does indicate that Comcast HD VOD viewers are an eclectic bunch with both movies and basic cable favorites prominently featured.

Also worthy of note: Three episodes of AMC's Mad Men made the list.

Here's Comcast's Top 10 HD VOD programs for last week:

1. AMC's Mad Men, Season 2, episode 2 ("Flight 1")
2. Men in Black (movie)
3. Showtime's Weeds, Season 4, episode 45 ("I Am the Table."
4. Shooter (movie)
5. Trepass (movie)
6. Twelve Monkeys (movie)
7. Dan In Real Life (movie)
8. AMC's Men Men, Season 2, episode 1 ("Those Who Think Young")
9. 54 (movie)
10. AMC's Mad Men, Season 1, episode 1 (Smoke Gets In Your Eyes")
