In a post yesterday at his BlogMaverick.com, Cuban called on his readers to submit their best "original" concepts for new programs. However, HDNet's CEO was typically blunt in urging people to think before they submit.
"What I would like to read are original show ideas. So post them if you got them," Cuban wrote. "If they have anything to do with sports or a deck of cards, I don't want to read them and they will be deleted."
He added: 'I don't need to be pitched another cooking, poker, pimp my whatever, American Idol knockoff, nor do I want to hear another "compete for a Mavs roster spot" or "business plan competition idea.' If it's obvious you don't know anything about HDNet or have never seen our networks, it will be deleted."
In addition to being HDNet's CEO, Cuban owns the Dallas Mavericks basketball team.

Will your high-def show idea make Mark Cuban smile?
HDNet, a 24-hour High-Definition network, features a diverse lineup from hard news documentaries anchored by Dan Rather to National League Hockey broadcasts to male-oriented travel shows featuring bikini-wearing hostesses.
Cuban didn't offer any prizes for a winning show submission, but he said: "I would love to be able to come back and write a post about how we are developing, or have picked up a show based on a comment posted to the blog. Somebody give me a reason!"
