The Black Friday weekend is coming to a close with surprising reports that sales inched higher than last year, and much higher than expected due to the sagging economy.
Tomorrow, Cyber Monday will begin with a new outpouring of discounts and deals designed to tempt uncertain consumers. For those not familiar with Cyber Monday, online retailers traditionally slash their prices on the first Monday following the Thanksgiving weekend.
The discount prices are often available for one day only -- and may include restrictions on time and supply. In addition, some ecommerce retailers have started Cyber Monday early, making their discounted products available today.
CyberMonday.com and a few other sites that monitor the online shopping event have assembled some of the deals available at such stores as BestBuy.com, CircuitCity.com, Sears.com and others.
