Not to be outdone by Black Friday,
several web retailers today slashed prices on
High-Definition TVs from 20 to 35 percent.
The practice of offering Web-only discounts on the
Monday following the post-Thanksgiving rush has come to
be known as "Cyber Monday."
For instance, BestBuy.com today is offering the 50-inch
Panasonic
50PX60U Plasma HDTV for
$1,999, a near 30 percent discount over the regular
price of $2,799. The sale price is good only for today
and tomorrow.
