Next HD Channel?

Could the DIY channel be DIRECTV's next High-Definition
addition?
The posters at the DIRECTV-favored message board, DBSTalk.com,
seem to think so. The site is buzzing with comments that the
satcaster will soon add the do-it-yourself network in high-def.
The reason for the optimism is that DBSTalk member 'Sixto,' who
monitors DIRECTV signal testing, says he has discovered that the
satellite service has been testing DIY HD.
Of course, DIRECTV also recently tested the high-def signal for
the ION channel, but has yet to add it, even though it announced
at DIRECTV.com that the channel would be added (The announcement
has since been taken down.) So testing signals for a channel is
not always a guarantee that a TV provider will actually add the
channel.
DIY offers programs designed to help viewers involved in home
improvement and other around-the-house projects.
