Washington, D.C.
(May 17, 2012)
-- Dish Network has returned Peachtree TV to its airwaves after
reaching a new programming agreement with the channel's owner,
Turner Broadcasting.
The channel, which airs Atlanta Braves games as well as SEC
college football and basketball, was removed from Dish on
January 27 when the old programming pact expired. But the
channel returned Friday night after the companies ended their
dispute.
The return of Peachtree is good news for Braves fans who have
Dish with the team currently fighting with the Washington
Nationals for first place in the National League East. Peachtree
TV this year will air 45 Braves games.
Peachtree is owned by Turner
Broadcasting. The station's call letters are WPCH-TV and it also
broadcasts such syndicated fare as The Office, Big Bang Theory
and Meet the Browns.
