 Dish Network Keeps 9 Local Stations For Now By Swanni Washington, D.C. (April 29, 2011) -- Dish Network and Journal Broadcast Group have agreed to extend the deadline for reaching a new programming pact allowing Dish to carry Journal's local stations in nine markets. The current agreement was scheduled to expire at midnight last night. But the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that the companies have agreed to a temporary truce while negotiations continue. Dish and Journal Broadcast would not comment on the length of the extension. The two sides are battling over carriage rates in the new agreement. If a new agreement is not eventually reached, Dish viewers could lose the following Journal Broadcast Group stations:
