Dish
said yesterday that the outage was caused by a "satellite
anomaly," which is tech speak for a satellite going out. The
company's 'satellite 129' was suspected to be the satellite in
disrepair, but the satcaster today did not elaborate on the
problem.
It was unclear how many HD channels were blacked out, but
one TVPredictions.com reader reports that it was more than 10;
others on Internet message boards said it was many more than
that.
