DIRECTV Adds Local HD Channels In Colorado
The overall total now stands at 103 cities.

Washington, D.C. (October 22, 2008) -- DIRECTV has added local High-Definition channels in the Colorado Springs/Pueblo, Colorado area, bringing its local high-def coverage to 103 cities.

The satcaster says the 103 cities with local high-def coverage represents more than 85 percent of U.S. TV households. DIRECTV adds that it will offer local HD channels in 121 cities by year's end.

DIRECTV said it added KOAA/NBC, KKTV/CBS and KXRM/FOX in the Colorado Springs/Pueblo area.

If your favorite local Colorado Springs station has not been added, cable and satellite TV providers sometimes can not offer all local channels in their lineups due to compensation disputes with the local stations.

DIRECTV today also added local HD channels in the Dayton, Ohio market and the Davenport, Iowa/Rock Island/Moline, Illinois market.
