Washington, D.C.
(April 15, 2007) -- Verizon FiOS, the telco's new TV
service, apparently has added three HDTV channels in Texas and
Florida.
Internet message boards, such as AVS Forum and DSL Reports, have been buzzing about the recent addition of HGTV HD, Food Network HD and Lifetime Movie Network HD in those two states.
If the reports are true, it would appear to be the first launch of the high-def edition of the Lifetime Movie Network.
Verizon has not issued an official announcement regarding the three channels. However, TV providers often wait until a new channel is added to each system before announcing it publicly.
Attempts to contact Verizon's press office were unsuccessful this morning.
