Time Warner Cable will carry it in select areas.

Washington, D.C. (April 29, 2008) -- Fox News Channel will launch a HD simulcast channel this Thursday and Time Warner Cable will carry it in Texas and the New York area.

(TVPredictions.com previously reported that Time Warner would add Fox News HD by May 1.)

Fox says the high-def network will include overlay displays with national and world headlines and other news; the displays won't be seen on the standard-def version.

The network says Time Warner will add Fox News HD on Thursday in San Antonio, Texas and in
Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island and the Hudson Valley in New York.

“We look forward to Fox News HD further enhancing the overall viewing experience of the number one cable news channel by delivering content through state-of-the-art technology,” Fox News'  Tim Carry said.
