Hooters Giving Away Free HDTVs On
Super Sunday
By Swanni
Washington, D.C.
(January 30,
2012) --
Restaurant
chain Hooters says it will give away one 42-inch HDTV at every
Hooters outlet in the nation on Super Bowl Sunday (February 5).
The game annually attracts a large following at Hooters and
other food establishments. This will be the eighth straight year
that Hooters will offer the free HDTV promotion.
"There are at least 3
things that Hooters is known for," said
Mike McNeil,
Hooters' vice president of marketing (and
one of the luckiest guys on the planet).
"One is our famous chicken wings, another is
our great TV packages for viewing sports and
the final one is the fast friendly service
from America's Cheerleaders, the Hooters
Girls. Our promotional program for Sunday
insures football fans at Hooters get to
enjoy all three."
Come and get 'em
on Super Bowl Sunday.
Hooters, which has 430 restaurants nationwide, estimates that it
will sell two million chicken wings on Super Bowl Sunday. (Last
year, it estimated that it would sell one million chicken wings.
Has America gotten that hungrier? Evidently.)
