We call this list, "The Hottest Shows in HDTV!" And here they are for Friday, January 29, 2010: (All times Eastern -- and don't forget the link below to today's 'HD Hottie -- in fact, today there are 7 of them!

1. Winter X Games
Lots of loop-de-loop in the snowy climes of Aspen, Colorado.

7 p.m.

2.

Series finale. Eliza Dushku stars as Echo, an 'off-the-grid' operative who takes on a different identity each week. Tonight, alas, the Echoes come to an end as Fox pulls the plug on the ratings-starved series. However, before they walk into the sunset, Echo and her remaining dolls will try to stop an apocalypse. Now!

CBS, 8 p.m.

4. Smallville (new)
Season debut. Well, some things must come to an end, but as they say, another door will open. Tonight, Clark and his alter ego must battle the dangerous Dark Archer in the season debut of Smallville.
CW, 8 p.m.

5.
Watchmen
Based on the D.C. Comics' graphic novel, Watchmen mixes satire with eye-popping visuals and delivers a thrill-a-minute adventure for young and old. The plot focuses on a masked vigilante who tries to discover why comic book-style Super Heroes are being killed off. It may sound like a teen feast, but director Zack Snyder is up to more than that. The film cleverly examines meaty issues such as terrorism, rule of law, hero worship and narcissism in the guise of a sci-fi fantasy film.
Malin Akerman is breathtaking as an obligatory hot female Super Hero while Billy Crudup, Jackie Earle Haley, Carla Gugino, Patrick Wilson also shine in a strong ensemble cast. Great movie!

HBO, 9 p.m.
