Washington, D.C. (March 12, 2010) -- High-Definition TVs are now in more than 40 million U.S. homes and there are scores of high-def programming choices.

But which shows should you watch? And why?

Every day here at TVPredictions.com, I scan the HD programming aisles and serve up 10 programs so good -- so hot! -- that you can't miss them. Sports, movies, primetime comedies and drama -- they're all there and in beautiful high-def.

We call this list, "The Hottest Shows in HDTV!" And here they are for Friday, March 12, 2010: (All times Eastern -- and don't forget the link below to today's 'HD Hottie -- in fact, today there are 3 of them!

1. Doubt
Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman shine in this cinematic adaptation of the hit Broadway play about a popular priest who's suspected of child abuse. Amy Adams is also strong in support as a young nun who's caught in the middle of truth and perception. Good film.

2. College Basketball Doubleheader

ACC Tournament -- Maryland vs. Georgia Tech n game one; Florida State vs NC State in game two.

. Ghost Whisperer (new)
Jennifer Love Hewitt, America's favorite big-breasted, ghost-gabbin' gal, tonight investigates the ghost of a little girl who's been stuck in a haunted house for years. Well, could be worse. The girl ghost could be living in a house that's not haunted; at least now she has someone to talk to, you know.

6. Dreamgirls
Beyonce Knowles stars in this fast-moving musical based on the stage play about a certain 'girl group' in the 1960s. Eddie Murphy and Jennifer Hudson shine in support while Jaime Foxx is his usual flawless self as the group's ruthless promoter. Fun film.

7. Real Time With Bill Maher

Conservative media watchdog alert! The pasty-faced pundit is back with new episodes. And tonight's show features three other pundits whose names begin with H --

8. Spartacus: Blood and Sand (new)
Program descript: "
IIythia wants someone to kill Spartacus." Well, we know that's not going to happen. The show is called, Spartacus, Blood and Sand, not IIythia, Blood and Sand. But good luck, IIythia!

9. Late Show With David Letterman (new)
